Your goal is to participate in one “high-weighted” activity or two “medium-weighted” activities. If successfully completed, that approach will result in you achieving full credit in this category, a higher overall MIPS score, and a higher reimbursement for the Medicare services that you provide in the future.
The aim of this article is to distill the full list down to just a few that we believe:
- Could apply to most RevolutionEHR practices; and
- Are relatively easy to accomplish; and
- Are easy to support in the event of an audit
You are not required to choose an activity from this list, but we believe it’s a good place to start.
High-Weighted Activities |
Provide 24/7 access to eligible clinicians or groups who have real-time access to the patient’s medical record (IA_EPA_1) |
Enhance Engagement of Medicaid and Other Underserved Populations (IA_AHE_1) |
Medium-Weighted Activities |
Implementation of specialist reports back to the referring clinician or group to close referral loop (IA_CC_1) |
Engagement of patients through implementation of improvements in patient portal (IA_BE_4) |
Use of telehealth services that expand practice access (IA_EPA_2) |
Comprehensive eye exams (underserved and/or high-risk populations) (IA_AHE_7) |
