Most commonly, a diagnosis is associated to a service within the Coding screen of an encounter. However, diagnoses can be added at the invoice level if needed.
Instructions
- Open the invoice.
- Click the appropriate line item.
- In the Invoice Item Detail modal, click the + icon beside the appropriate diagnosis within the Available Diagnoses column. Repeat this step for all appropriate diagnoses.
- Click 'Save.'
Note: If the necessary diagnosis is not available in the Invoice Item Detail modal, the diagnosis must be added to the patient's active list in the Diagnosis History component.
- Access Patients > search for and open the patient > Diagnosis History.
- Click the + icon.
- In the Dx Details modal, select the appropriate Code, ICD-10 is the default. Start typing the diagnosis code or description in the Code field. Matching diagnoses display below the typed text.
- Select the appropriate diagnosis from the generated list.
- Input a Dx Date.
- Click 'Save.'
