The majority of doctors that select RevolutionEHR as their electronic health record solution are moving from an existing practice management solution. As part of the setup process, we will work with you to transfer the data from your previous system into RevolutionEHR. The exact data that can be imported into RevolutionEHR depends entirely on what resides in your existing system, the format of that data, and the export functionality of that system.
Important: If your practice requests both a PMS and EHR data conversion, we require a backup of your database. The request for both conversions must be received in advance so the data is readily available on the date the conversion is scheduled. If a backup of the database is not available, we can only provide a PMS conversion using the report tools in your My Vision Express software.
The following provides a summary of the data items which typically can be imported:

1 - This data can only be transferred if we have a copy of the MVE database. It cannot be exported via the MVE application.
2 - For last exam/visit date information, we can import the date and associate it with a particular RevolutionEHR template. Note that this is only the date and type and does not include any exam data.
3 - In RevolutionEHR, exams, appointments, and recalls all MUST be associated with an encounter template that is configured within the system. As a result, in order to import that data from your existing system, we must either choose a default template to use, or you must provide a mapping from the respective types in your existing system to the encounter templates configured in RevolutionEHR.
