Keeping Up on Your Claims
Having a clean Claims area is important as it allows you to know what needs to be filed, prevents you from submitting duplicate claims, and aids in working rejections efficiently. Sending duplicate and/or incorrect claims costs you time and money as it causes your staff additional time to correct the invoice(s) and/or claim(s), contact the insurance payors and post the recoupment(s).
- Update the Status of your zero's, credits, and secondary claims that are in "Ready to Submit" Status to "Submitted" Status - doing so gives you a clean view of the claims that can be filed through your clearinghouse
- Use the Search Criteria Filters to your advantage to work one payor at a time
- Use the Patient or Exam Hyperlinks to easily access the Patient Account Pod or exam associated to the claim
