Add Care Plan Item within an Encounter (Quick Add)

The following instructions are to add a care plan item within an encounter (i.e., quick add). For instructions to add a care plan item that is present for all encounters, see Care Plan Items and Templates.

Instructions

1. Open an encounter > Assessment & Plan > Plan.
2. Within the Today's Diagnosis section, below the diagnosis, click '+Add.' Note: If the encounter does not have a diagnosis assigned within the Assessment screen, a +Add button will not display. See Example
3. In the Add Care Plan Item modal, complete the required fields. Note: The options to Add to Library and Checkout Task are available in this modal. See Example
4. Click 'Save.'
