The following instructions are to add a care plan item within an encounter (i.e. quick add). For instructions to add a care plan item that is present for all encounters, see Care Plan Items and Templates.
- Open an encounter > Assessment & Plan > Plan.
- Within the Today's Diagnosis section, click '+Add.' Note: If the encounter does not have a diagnosis assigned within the Assessment screen, an '+Add' button will not display.
- In the Add Care Plan Item modal, complete the required fields. Note: The options to "Add to Library" and "Checkout Task" are available in this modal. See Example
- Click 'Save.'
