Direct Address Set Up
Step 1: Create a location Direct address
A location address is not used by any employee of the practice but is shown as the “From” address when a patient transmits information from the patient portal, RevolutionPHR, to another provider.
The “location address” can be created by navigating to Admin > Vendor/Partners> RevDirect. Click the + button, select your Location from the Location dropdown and enter a “Location Direct Address” of your choice and Save.
Once you click save please log out of RevolutionEHR and back in for the change to take place.
Step 2: Create individual Direct address(es)
RevDirect provides you with the ability to create a Direct address for any and all employees of the practice per your preference. Individual addresses can be created by accessing each employee through Administration > Employee/Roles > Employees > Select employee > External System IDs slider > Enabled
Once you click enabled a RevDirect address will automatically be displayed. You can proceed with clicking on the Validate button or enter in a unique direct address followed by Validate. Selecting “Validate” allows the address to be checked for availability. Click Save once the address has been validated.
*Once an address has been established for the practice or staff member it cannot be changed.
Step 3: Obtain and document Direct addresses of external providers
With your internal addresses established, the final configuration step is to make sure you have Direct addresses of the providers with whom you’d like to communicate logged in their profiles in RevolutionEHR. External provider profiles can be accessed through Admin > Vendors/Partners > External Providers and Direct addresses are entered on the Contact Information tab:
Once the three steps above have been completed, you’re ready to start communicating securely:
