Alerts provide the ability to indicate to employees there is something about the patient they should be aware of when serving the patient.
- Alerts display each time a patient's file is accessed.
- Alerts display each time an appointment is booked.
Instructions
- Access Patients > search for and open a patient > Alerts.
- Click the + icon.
- Complete the Alert Details.
- Category: Select a category option from the dropdown menu.
- Severity:
- Alerts are associated to colors to help identify the severity.
- Low - associated to the color blue.
- Medium - associated to the color yellow.
- High - associated to the color red.
- When an alert displays, if the display option is for modal, an alert flag displays the color of the severity; if the display option is for banner, the banner color is associated to the severity.
- An alert button displays beside the patient's ID number within Patient Details. This button's color changes according to the highest level of severity associated to the alerts.
- Alerts are associated to colors to help identify the severity.
- Display:
- None: Alerts do not automatically display. Note: The user will have to click the Alerts button beside the patient's ID number to view the alerts. See Example
- Modal: Alerts automatically display in an Alert History modal. The modal must be manually closed by clicking the Close button. See Example
- Banner: Alerts automatically display in a banner message. The banner color is associated to the severity of the alert. See Example Banner message duration is controlled through an employee preference. Access (click your name in the system's navigation bar) > Edit Profile > Preferences > Banner Messages.
