The Schedule module provides the ability to create a list of patients that want to be contacted if an appointment time opens that was previously not available. There are two options available for adding a patient to the Wait List:
- From within the Schedule module.
- From within the Patient module.
Instructions
Add Patient
Schedule Module
- Access Schedule > Wait List.
- Click '+ Add.'
- In the Add Patient to Wait List modal, within the Patient field, search for and insert the patient.
- Complete the required fields for Type and Priority and any other optional fields that are appropriate.
- End Date: The patient is automatically removed from the Wait List on the end date entered.
- Click 'Save.'
Patient Module
- Access Patients > search for and open the patient.
- Click 'Add to Wait List.'
- In the Add Patient to Wait List modal, complete the required fields for Type and Priority and any other optional fields that are appropriate.
- End Date: The patient is automatically removed from the Wait List on the end date entered.
- Click 'Save.' Note: The button "Add to Wait List" changes to display "On Wait List." To navigate to the Wait List from the patient's file, click "On Wait List."
Update Scheduling Preferences
Regardless of where in the system you decide to update Preferences, the updated information is available within the Wait List and within the Preferences component.
Wait List Screen
- Access Schedule > Wait List.
- Click the line item of the patient.
- In the Edit Patient on Wait List modal, update the Day/Time Preferences.
- Click 'Save.'
Patient Module
- Access Patients > search for and open a patient > Preferences.
- Update the Preference settings.
- Click 'Save.'
