The following information provides potential fixes for an invalid username or password error for Apex EDI within RevolutionEHR.
Instructions
Verify User Role Permission
The employee following these instructions must have access to General > Vendors/Partners > Edit Vendors/Partners Clearinghouse info.
- Verify this setting by accessing Admin > Employee/Roles > User Roles > open the user role.
- In the Access Permissions section, open the Administration Module.
- Verify General > Vendors/Partners is checked, if not checked, check the box.
- Verify the setting under Vendors/Partners (from step #3) > Edit Vendors/Partners Clearinghouse is checked, if not checked, check the box.
- Click 'Save.' Note: You might need to contact your office's administrator to provide access or to complete the steps noted below if your practice's office policy prevents your User Role from receiving access permission.
Verify Account Information for Practices with ONE Location AND ONE Apex Account
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Practice Claims Preferences.
- Make a note of the information entered into the Username and Password fields.
- Click 'Cancel.'
- Verify the information noted in step #2 matches the login information for Apex. Note: If the information does not match, update RevolutionEHR to match your Apex account.
- Access Admin > Vendors/Partners > Apex.
- Click 'Disabled' for your location. Note: If your screen does not list your location, no action is needed.
Verify Account Information for Practices with MULTIPLE Locations AND ONE Apex Account
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Practice Claims Preferences.
- Make a note of the information entered into the Username and Password fields.
- Click 'Cancel.'
- Verify the information noted in step #2 matches the login information for Apex. Note: If the information does not match, update RevolutionEHR to match your Apex account.
- Access Admin > Vendors/Partners > Apex.
- Click 'Disabled' for all locations. Note: If your screen does not list your location(s), no action is needed.
Verify Account Information for Practices with MULTIPLE Locations AND MULTIPLE Apex Accounts
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Practice Claims Preferences.
- Make a note of the information entered into the Username and Password fields.
- Click 'Cancel.'
- Verify the information noted in step #2 matches the login information for your FIRST Apex. Note: If the information does not match, update RevolutionEHR to match your FIRST Apex account.
- Access Admin > Vendors/Partners > Apex.
- For each practice location in the grid, verify the Username with the Username noted from step #2:
- If the Username MATCHES, click 'Disabled.'
- If the Username DOES NOT MATCH, verify the password for accuracy for your SECOND and subsequent Apex account(s). Update if needed.
