Secondary claims are not submitted directly from RevolutionEHR to TriZetto as they are with primary claims. In order to submit a secondary claim, the information from the primary remittance or EOB must be included on the secondary claim. For that reason one of the two options below are used for secondary claim submission:
- Print the secondary claim on the HCFA-1500 form and attach the primary remit/EOB and mail.
- Secondary Online Submission (SOS) offered by TriZetto.
- The Secondary Online Submission instructions are located on the TriZetto portal. Log in to the TriZetto portal, click the Resources tab, click Online Help, click Secondary Online Submission (SOS) Help Document.
If you have claims with the Priority of Secondary on the Claims menu, do not submit these claims directly from RevolutionEHR or they will be rejected by TriZetto. Use one of the methods above to submit the claims.
To remove the secondary claims from the Claims menu, place a checkmark by the secondary claim and select Mark as Submitted from the Actions dropdown. The status of this claim will display as Marked as Submitted and the claim will be removed from the Claims menu.
