The following instructions are to void a patient credit.
Instructions
- Access Patients > search for and open a patient > Account > Credit History.
- Click the void credit icon for the line item to void.
- If you are unable to void the credit, verify if a refund was issued. Void the refund; then void the credit.
- If you try to void the credit and receive a message that the invoice is in Paid status, this indicates that the invoice the credit was created on needs to be changed from Paid to Active to void the credit. The credit will then be turned into a negative balance on the invoice.
- In the Void Credit modal, input comments that might be helpful for future reference.
- Click 'Apply.'
