This article explains how to capture, review, edit, and save AI Scribe results within an encounter.
Instructions
- Within an active encounter that has not been signed, select the ‘AI Scribe’ button found in the header of the encounter
- A modal will open in the upper right that indicates that AI Scribe is ‘Ready’
- Using the process you have determined for your practice, document or acknowledge that the patient has given consent for AI Scribe to record the encounter and generate clinical documentation. Permission gathering requirements vary by state - please contact your state association to learn the requirements specific for your practice.
- Select ‘Start Transcribing’ from the modal to begin recording and documenting
- Select 'Stop' to end the transcription session.
- Wait for AI Scribe to process and populate findings in the encounter. When complete it will display the AI Review screens. You may review now or close the encounter and review at a later time
- Review the highlighted fields on each screen.
- Edit any incorrect or incomplete values as needed.
- Use the transcript view option to verify spoken findings when needed.
- Select 'Next' to approve the current screen and save the changes to the patient's record.
- When you have approved all of the screens that contain AI scribe findings, the review is over and you will be returned to the normal encounter view.
- Access to the transcript is available only until the encounter has been signed.. Once the encounter is signed the transcript will be permanently removed.
