The following instructions are for Auto-Posting payments. Ensure you have followed the instructions for RevClear Auto-Posting: Setup before continuing.
Instructions
- Access Accounting > Payments.
- Verify the appropriate Location displays in the field.
- Status = Pending.
- Click 'Search.'
- The Reference # can be associated to multiple payer names. If multiple payers display in the search results grid, the Amount is the total of all invoices associated to the payer's name for the location displayed. See Example
- The Reference # can be associated to payers at multiple practice locations. Payments must be processed for each location. See Example
- Open the line item for the payer. Note:
- The payment details are auto-populated.
- All invoices associated to the payer name are displayed.
- Payments are allocated by patient and by line item.
- Click the payment link in the Items column of a patient.
- In the Payment Items modal,
- Payment can be applied by invoice or by line item.
- Line item amounts are matched by CPT code and modifiers.
- We recommend practices select a process and use it consistently.
- Payment by line item allows more detailed reporting.
- Click 'Save.' Note: Repeat steps 5-8 for each invoice.
- Click 'Apply Payments.'
