Drawing Tool - From an Encounter

The Drawing Tool is available within every test of an encounter. Note: It is also available within the Documents/Images component of a patient's file. Access Drawing Tool - From Documents/Images for more information. The following instructions are for the Drawing Tool.

Instructions

Upload an Image and access the Drawing Tool

1. Open an encounter > access the workflow step with a test.
2. Locate the test you want the image uploaded to. In the test header, click the files icon. Note: The icon is blue if files have previously been uploaded. 
3. In the Test Files modal, click 'Upload.'
4. In the Upload File(s) modal, in the File field, upload the image by clicking Browse or drop files.
5. In the Save To field, select the location to store the uploaded image.
6. Click 'Upload.'
7. In the line item of the image, click the Edit Image icon.
8. The Image Editor modal displays. Edit the image with the features available within the Drawing Tool.
9. Click 'Save.'
10. Click 'Close.'

Access the Drawing Tool of an Image Previously Uploaded

1. Open an encounter > access the workflow step with the test.
2. In the test header, click the files icon. Note: The icon is blue if there are previously uploaded files.
3. In the line item of the image, click the Edit Image icon.  
4. The Image Editor modal displays. Edit the image with the features available within the Drawing Tool. 
5. Click 'Save.'
6. Click 'Close.'

Create a Drawing Using Default Images

1. Open an encounter > access the workflow step with the test.
2. In the test header, click the files icon. Note: The icon is blue if images have been previously uploaded, or gray if images have not been previously uploaded.
3. Click 'Draw.'
4. In the Select Folder modal, for the Save To, select the location to save the image. 
5. Click 'Draw.'
6. In the Image Editor modal, select an image.  Note: The selected image displays for editing. In the Name field, update if needed.
7. Edit the image with the features available within the Drawing Tool.
8. Click 'Save.'
9. Click 'Close.'
