Provider's Signature on Prescriptions

RevolutionEHR provides the option to populate the provider's signature automatically on a printed prescription.

Instructions

Upload Signature

1. Sign your name on a white no-lined sheet of paper. 
2. Capture a picture of the signature and upload it to your computer. It must be a jpg, gif, or png file type.
   • Resize the image to approximately 300x50 pixels.
     1. Right-click on saved image.
     2. Select, Open with.
     3. Select Paint. 
     4. Click 'Resize.'
     5. Change the setting to Pixels, and Horizontal to 300. To eliminate distortion keep the 'aspect ratio' selected. This means that entering 300 in horizontal automatically updates the vertical and will most likely not be 50. Keep that size as close to 300 x 50 as possible by adjusting the horizontal up or down slightly.
3. Access Admin > Employee/Roles > Employees > open employee > Provider Details.
4. In the signature section, click the upload icon.
5. In the File Upload modal, click the Upload button.
6. Upload the signature image.
7. Click 'Save.'
8. Log out and log in to see the changes associated to the setting. 

Capture Signature Image Using a Webcam

1. Sign your name on a white no-lined sheet of paper.
2. Access Admin > Employee/Roles > Employees > open employee > Provider Details.
3. In the signature section, click the camera icon.
4. Position the signature within the camera as it displays in the image window.
5. In the Image Capture modal, click 'Capture Image.' Note: Ensure your signature is centered. If you need a better image, click the Capture Image button again.
6. Click 'Save.'
7. Click 'Save.'
8. Log out and log in to see the changes associated to the setting. 

Set as Default

This setting can be updated with the Admin module or within Edit Profile.

Admin Module

1. Within the opened employee from the Upload Signature instructions above, access Preferences > Encounters. 
2. Beside "Always use my signature image on Rx printouts," check the box(es) beside the options for Eyeglass, Contact Lens, and/or Medication.
3. Click 'Save.'
4. Log out and log in to see the changes associated to the setting. 

Edit Profile

1. Click your name in the system's navigation bar.
2. Select Edit Profile. See Example
3. In the Edit Profile modal, in the Encounters section, beside "Always use my signature image on Rx printouts," check the box(es) beside the options for Eyeglass, Contact Lens, and/or Medication.
4. Click 'Save.'
