A "Session Expired" error message occurs when a user is logged into the system but has been inactive and the system "locks." When the system has locked a session, it will expire in 30 minutes. After receiving the locked session message, you receive a prompt to re-enter your password to start a new session. The new session returns you to the locked screen and you will need to reenter your password again.
If multiple users are logged into the same computer and are using the same browser with either separate tabs open or separate windows open, all sessions of RevolutionEHR will be locked, even if only one user has been inactive.
To alleviate all users from being locked out:
- Always log out of the system when not in use.
- If you need to open a session on the same computer that another employee is actively using, select a different browser. e.g., If another employee is using Chrome, select Firefox.
