Services cannot be removed from the Coding screen of an encounter if they have already been assigned to an invoice. Within the opened encounter, access Check-Out > Billing. Notice, the services that you are trying to remove are no longer listed within the Unassigned tab of the Billable Items section. Access the invoice and remove the service. Return to the Coding screen of the encounter and remove the service.
