The following information is provided to assist you with data entry efficiencies using your keyboard.
- F11: Hides the tool bar(s) on a screen which provides for additional space and less scrolling. Some browsers require the cursor placed within the URL before pressing the F11 key.
- F5: Refreshes the internet browser.
- F9 (Fn-F9 on a Mac): Provides OS = OD.
- Double click: When the cursor is placed within a field that requires the time, this action inputs the current time.
- Ctrl+right arrow (CMD + CTL + right arrow on a Mac): Advances the encounter to the next screen.
- Ctrl+left arrow (CMD + CTL + left arrow on a Mac): Moves the encounter to the prior screen.
- Tab: Moves the cursor to the next field.
- Enter: Advances the cursor to the next field within refractive tests after an entry has been input into the field.
- Spacebar: Advances the cursor to the next field within refractive tests after an entry has been input into the field.
- Fields that have a dropdown menu, and only one selection can be made, input the first letter or a number value to quickly search the list options.
- Refraction test field for Axis:
- Left arrow = decrease by 10.
- Right arrow = increase by 10.
- Up arrow = increase by 1.
- Down arrow = decrease by 1.
- Refraction test field for diopter:
- Up arrow is increase by .25.
- Down arrow is decrease by .25.
- Right arrow is increase by full diopter.
- Down arrow is decrease by full diopter.
- Fields that require numbers can be increase or decreased a "major or minor" step. Each test type determines the range for "major and minor."
- Up arrow is increase minor step.
- Down arrow is decrease minor step.
- Right arrow is increase major step.
- Left arrow is decrease major step.
