The following information explains how to set HCFA Box 13 (Insured or Authorized Person's Signature on file) and 27 (Accept Assignment) to Yes for the electronic claim file.
Instructions
- Navigate to Admin > Vendors/Partners > Insurance Company.
- Open the appropriate Insurance Company.
- Place a check in the box next to Participating Practice.
- Select Save.
In RevolutionEHR, the option is labeled “Participating Practice”.
Checking this box does not alter any participating or nonparticipating details with your payer. It only ensures that Box 27 is marked as “Yes” on the paper claim form and sets Y on the electronic claim form for the loops that correlate to box 13 and box 27.
