The RevIntake communication configuration can be managed within the RevIntake Settings Portal. https://settings.revintake.com
Select the 'Action' button. Select the ‘Communication’ tab to configure the various settings for messages RevIntake sends to patients. Communication preferences are established based on appointment type. This flexibility allows you to communicate with different groups of patients in different ways.
Messaging Preferences
This dropdown list contains encounter templates pulled from your RevolutionEHR environment. Please review and click in this field to select additional encounter templates/appointment types to apply the settings.
Select the 'X' beside an encounter template name to remove it. Only patients scheduled for the selected encounter templates/appointment types will receive these messages.
To set up communication preferences for additional appointment types Select "yes" next to “Do you have other encounter/appointment types that you would like to enable that are not listed above?” When you select Yes, RevIntake allows you to configure settings for an additional set of appointment types using the same process outlined above. See Example
You can enter a name for this workflow or simply update the existing workflow name.
Review and update the way you would like to communicate with patients scheduled for the appointment types selected, as needed.
- Send appointment reminders only will only remind patients of an upcoming appointment and not ask them to confirm or complete registration and intake forms.
- Send appointment confirmation messages will ask patients to confirm but not complete registration and intake forms.
- Send registration/intake messages will ask patients to complete registration and intake forms.
- When both Send appointment confirmation messages and Send registration/intake messages are selected, messages will first ask patients to confirm their appointment and then prompt them to begin the registration process.
Message Settings
Review the default communication preferences and use the blue 'Edit' button to make changes as appropriate
Message Timing
By default, patients receive a reminder message two days before and one day before an appointment. Note: The one-day reminder will only be sent if the patient doesn't complete the actions requested in the reminder sent two days before an appointment. Please review and update the message timing, based on office preference. See Example
Message Wording: Emails Texts
Review and edit messages as appropriate. Text between the ## tags should not be edited or removed. This personalizes the messages and presents the link to the registration and intake forms. Please note there is a 140-character limit for text messages. See Example

- Enable ‘Bookmark’
- Enable ‘Save to Calendar’
