The following instructions are to post a patient's balance from a previous system.
Instructions
- Access Patients > search for and open a patient > Account.
- Click '+ Patient Invoice.'
- In the Select Encounter modal, click 'Skip.'
- Click the ellipsis icon. See Example
- Select Add Adhoc from the dropdown menu.
- In the Add Adhoc Item modal, in the Description field, input "Balance Forward From Previous EHR." Note: Each office can input a different message in the Description field, however, our recommendation is be consistent.
- In the Unit Price field, input the debit balance. Note: Tax Rate is an optional field, see Sales Tax - Add to Admin.
- Click 'Save.' See Example
