Patients with a past due balance can be assigned to a collection agency. To begin the process, ensure your collection agency is setup within Admin.
- Open the invoice to be sent to collections.
- Ensure the invoice has the status of Authorized.
- Click the ellipses button and select Transfer.
- In the Collections field, enter an amount and select the collection agency from the dropdown menu.
- Click 'Save.' Note: This action closes the patient invoice and creates a new collections invoice. The collection invoice is associated to the patient with the collection agency as the payer.
