VSP Estimator - Optical Orders - Eyeglass

The instructions for VSP Estimator - Setup, VSP Estimator - Inventory Import, VSP Estimator - Inventory Pricing, and VSP Estimator - Fee Schedules must be completed before following these instructions to place an order.

Instructions

There are multiple ways to create an order, the following instructions provide the most common option. 

1. Access Orders.
2. Click the + icon.
3. Select VSP Estimator Eyeglass.
4. In the Select a Patient modal, search for and select the patient.
5. In the Select an Eyeglass Rx modal, select the Rx.
6. The order follows the same flow and procedures as a non-VSP Estimator order.
   1. Complete the Details tab.
   2. Complete the Rx & Lens tab. Note: In the Lens Details section, the fields for Type and Material provide the same options as the Eyefinity website. The field for Lens Style provides options that you have setup from your product catalog for VSP Inventory.
   3. Complete the Frame tab.
7. Access the Billing tab.
   1. If appropriate, associate an encounter to the order.
   2. Complete the Eyefinity Billing Details section. Note: Use the patient's authorization details to complete this section.
   3. Click 'Generate Billing Preview.' Note: In the column for Covered, if appropriate to your patient, click the checkbox for covered, and click 'Recalculate.'
      • Notice the column for Update Catalog. If you identify a pricing error for the Retail Cost, update the field, click the checkbox for Update Catalog, and click 'Recalculate.' When you save the data, the product catalog is updated with the new price.
   4. Click 'Save.'
