"In-Clinic" is a flag that can be set for an encounter template to indicate that the template is used for encounters where the patient is physically in the clinic for the service. Examples of encounters that are not In-Clinic are phone calls, emails, letters, etc. System generated encounters automatically have the In-Clinic check box marked as the default setting. Custom encounters need to have the In-Clinic check box marked, if appropriate to the type of encounter situation.
- Access Admin > Encounters/Interviews > Encounter Templates.
- Open an encounter template.
- Click the check box for In-Clinic.
- Click 'Update.'
