In-Clinic is a flag that can be set for an encounter template to indicate that the template is used for encounters where the patient is physically in the clinic for the service. Examples of encounters that are not In-Clinic are phone calls, emails, and letters. System generated encounters automatically have the In-Clinic checkbox marked as the default setting. If appropriate to the type of encounter situation, custom encounters need to have the In-Clinic checkbox marked.
- Access Admin > Encounters / Interviews > Encounter Templates.
- Open an encounter template.
- Click the checkbox for In-Clinic.
- Click 'Save.' See Example
