Today's Findings is a tab that is displayed in the Assessment screen of an encounter. This tab is used exclusively in conjunction with Auto-Diagnosing and is designed to view diagnosis codes triggered by the Auto-Diagnosing rules.
Any diagnosis in the Today's Findings tab is simply a display of a finding and will not automatically be added as an active diagnosis for the patient. The diagnoses that are displayed will not be part of the patient's Master Problem List or Today's Diagnoses list by default. This allows the ability to utilize as many rules as possible for Auto-Diagnosing while still providing the option during the Assessment to determine
if it is appropriate for any of those findings to be documented as an active diagnosis. Triggered diagnoses are displayed in the Today's Findings tab.
- Assign a Diagnosis Code: If a diagnosis code is present in the Today's Findings tab and it is appropriate for that diagnosis to be listed in the Today's Diagnoses list, click the + icon for the code to move to Today's Diagnoses.
Instructions
A practice preference is available to set the default view in the Assessment screen. Currently, the tab for Master Dx is displayed. To change the default view to the Today's Findings tab for all employees within the practice, complete the following:
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preference > Additional Preferences > Patients > Auto Diagnosing > Default tab for Assessment Screen.
- Click 'Today's Findings.'
- Click 'Save.'
- Log out and log in to see the changes associated to the setting.
To override the default that has been set for the entire practice and set the default for the current user, complete the following:
- Click on your name in the system's navigation bar > Edit Profile.
- Access Preferences > Encounters > Default tab for Assessment Screen.
- Click 'Today's Findings.'
- Click 'Save.'
- Log out and log in to see the changes associated to the setting.
