Accounting Sales Report vs Inventory Sales Report

The Accounting Sales report and the Inventory Sales report do not provide the same data information.

• The Accounting Sales Report provides data for all frames sold in your practice.
• The Inventory Sales Reports provides data for frames sold from your physical inventory.
• The two reports noted above will generally not match, unless you only sell frames that you have in your physical inventory. 

Accounting Sales Report

1. Access Reports > Accounting > Sales.
2. In the Report Type field, select "Products by Category."
3. In the Report Output field, click 'Detailed.'
4. In the Date Range field, select from the dropdown menu.
5. The Location and Provider fields display default search criteria, change these fields if necessary.
6. Click 'Search.'
7. In the Search Results grid, single click a line item to view more detailed information. Continue to single click line item information for more detailed information. See Example

Inventory Sales Report

1. Access Reports > Inventory > Sales.
2. The Location field defaults to the user's primary location, select a different location if necessary.
3. In the Category field, select Eyeglass Frames.
4. In the Date field, select the appropriate dates.
5. Click 'Search.'
