External prescriptions are credited to the patient's provider as setup within Demographics. If submitting a claim, the following instructions should NOT be completed until the claim has been filed. Note: If the invoice has been paid, the provider is a locked field and cannot be changed.
Instructions
Verify your Allow Walk-ins setting in Admin is Yes.
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Additional Preferences > Accounting > Allow Walk-ins.
Patient as the Payer
- Access Accounting > Invoices > search for and open the invoice.
- Click 'Pending.'
- Remove the provider by clicking the X beside their name.
- Click 'Authorized.'
Insurance as the Payer
- Access Accounting > Invoices > search for and open the invoice.
- Click 'Pending.'
- Remove the provider by clicking the X beside their name.
- Click 'Authorized.'
- Select the Claim History tab.
- Click the ellipsis icon for the line item with the current Ready to Submit status.
- Select Mark as Deleted.
