There are two options you can utilize to send mass emails.
RevConnect Campaigns
RevConnect Campaigns is for customers aiming to keep patients engaged with the practice between visits and perform targeted marketing efforts by email. The Campaigns functionality is part of a RevConnect subscription at no additional cost.
Send from Outlook
A list of patients and their email addresses can be created and exported from RevolutionEHR.
- Access Reports > Patients > Patient Search.
- Click the + icon and select Add Report.
- In the Query Details section, input a Name for the report.

Access the Available Fields and drag and drop the following into the Search Criteria section:

Patient > Patient Email.
- After the field is moved to the Search Criteria area, select "Not empty" within the dropdown menu options provided.

Patient > Patient Active.
- After the field is moved to the Search Criteria area, select Equal and Active within the dropdown menus options provided.

Patient > Patient Email.

Access the Available Fields and drag and drop the following into the Results Fields section:
- Patient > Patient #.
- Patient > Patient First Name.
- Patient > Patient Last Name.
- Patient > Patient Age.
- Patient > Patient Email.
- Click 'Save.' See Example
- Locate the new report and click the Run Report icon. Search results are displayed at the bottom of your screen.
- Click the gear icon within the results area.
- Select Export. The exported file will be a CSV file which can then be merged into Outlook to send a mass email. Resource information for a mail merge from excel can be found here. Note: If using the above method, we recommend the following:
- Contact your local optometry society with possible HIPAA concerns.
- Discuss email encryption options and capabilities with your company's IT team.
- Delete the file from your computer after you have completed the process.
