Follow the instructions provided in the OptikamPad User Manual for setup and configuration of the application. Contact Optikam for questions on the application setup. Note: The instructions for OptikamPad are the same for Spectangle PRO.
Instructions
Setup
- Access Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Additional Preferences > Integrations.
- Next to Enable Optikam Integration, click 'Yes.' See Example
- Click 'Save.'
- Access Optikam's Cloud Portal website.
- Log in using your Optikam username and password.
- Access Account > Brand > Integration > Edit. If you do not see Brand and Integration, contact Optikam's Customer Support to enable Lens Ordering API.
- In the Integration dropdown menu, make the appropriate selection. Note: Custom should only be selected if explicitly instructed by Customer Support.

.Input Device Integration Username and Password
- Access RevolutionEHR, Admin > General > Practice Preferences > Partner Integrations.
- Under Device Interfaces:, make a note of, or use copy and paste, to input Optikam's User Name and Password. See Example
- Click 'Save.'
- Log out of the Optikam application and log in again. Note: Anytime a change is made to the Optikam settings, the application must be closed and relaunched.
Capture Device Data
Complete the instructions for Setup of the Optikam (or Spectangle PRO) device before continuing with these instructions.
- Open the Optikam application from your iPad. The account that is used by your device is displayed in the lower left corner. When using this application, you will be logged into your Optikam cloud account and the Integration settings get applied to your iPad. Anytime a setting is changed on the Optikam Cloud Portal site, you must close the application and reopen. Note: If you had the application opened before completing Setup, close the application and relaunch.
- This integration requires version 4.0+ to function properly. Access Settings > Main to verify the version. If it is not 4.0+, access the app store to update.
- Select a frame and lens type.
- Click 'Continue.'
- Adjust measurements and click 'Done.'
- Input patient name into the Customer Search field and click 'Search.'
- Select the patient.
- Once a patient is selected, the New or Approved eyeglass orders are displayed.
- If Order Type is Existing:
- Select a User.
- Highlight an Order.
- Click 'Send.'
- If Order Type is New:
- Select a User.
- Enter Frame Information.
- Click 'Send.'
- If Order Type is None, orders cannot be selected. Click 'Save' to save the Optikam session.
- If Order Type is Existing:
Previous Sessions
Review an existing measurement session:
- Click 'Load Session.'
- A list of measurement sessions displays. The two dots along the left side of the saved measurement profiles represent the order status of the integration (green) and the lens ordering (purple) respectively. An empty circle indicates the order has not been placed and is generated when selecting "none" as the order type. A full circle indicates the completion of the order. See Example
- Highlight a patient and a preview is displayed.
- Click 'Load.' See Example
- The patient's measurement session is displayed. Click 'Done.' See Example
- Data from RevolutionEHR is displayed.
- Select an Order Type of Existing.
- Orders associated to this patient are displayed. Highlight the appropriate order.
- Select the appropriate User.
- Click 'Send' and measurements are sent to RevolutionEHR.
Apply measurements to an order:
If Existing or New was the order type (within Optikam), measurements are automatically applied to the order within RevolutionEHR.
- Access Orders > search and open an existing order > Device Measurements.
- Click the icon to load the device measurement, or, click the icon for change device measurement.
- The measurements selected in step #2 load for Pupils, Lens Measurements, Frame Measurements, and Optikam Head / Eye Measurements.
