This article explains how to enable online appointment scheduling in RevolutionPHR and how to disable scheduling for a specific patient when needed.
Instructions
To enable Patient Portal scheduling at the practice level:
- Access Admin > General > Locations and open the appropriate practice location.
- Select the PHR Settings tab.
- In the PHR Patient Scheduling section, enable existing patients can schedule appointments through the PHR
- Select ‘Save’.
- Log out and log back in to apply the changes.
To make encounter templates available for Patient Portal scheduling:
- Access Admin > Encounters / Interviews > Encounter Templates.
- Open the encounter template intended for Patient Portal scheduling.
- Select the appropriate option in the ‘Interview Template’ field.
- Enable ‘PHR Schedulable’.
- Select ‘Save’.
- Log out and log back in to apply the changes.
To allow specific appointment slots to be scheduled through the Patient Portal:
- Access Schedule.
- Single-click the appointment slot to be made available in the Patient Portal.
- Enable ‘Patient can schedule’ under Portal.
- Select ‘Save’.
- In the Edit Occurrence window, select ‘Edit this and all future occurrences.
- Select ‘Save’.
To disable online scheduling for a specific patient:
- Access Patients and open the patient record.
- Select the Preferences tab.
- In the Scheduling Risk section, disable ‘PHR, Patient can Schedule Appointments from Portal’.
- Select ‘Save’.
