Non-specific procedure codes, also called miscellaneous or not otherwise classified codes, often require a short description of the code. An example of a non-specific procedure code is V2799.
Instructions
- Open an insurance invoice.
- Click on the procedure line item.
- In the Invoice Item Detail modal, in the Claim Note field, select NOC. In the open text field to the right, type a short description (e.g., drill mount, UV coating). See Example
- Click 'Save.' Note: The short description from step #3 is included on the electronic claim.
