Why am I being asked to update my website?
Before we can enable SMS messaging for your practice, your website must include a Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions that meet current carrier requirements.
These pages help explain your text messaging program, how patients can manage SMS communications, and how their information is handled.
What do I need to do?
Please make sure your website includes:
- A Privacy Policy webpage
- A Terms & Conditions webpage
These should be:
- Published as two separate webpages
- Publicly accessible (no login required)
- Published as webpages rather than PDF documents
If your website does not already include these pages, you can use the templates provided in our RevEngage SMS Compliance Kit.

What happens after my website is updated?
Once your website has been updated, reply to our email or let us know that your changes are complete.
We'll review your website to confirm it meets the current requirements. If additional updates are needed, we'll provide specific guidance. Once everything is in place, we'll complete your SMS registration on your behalf.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions be on the same page?
No. Each should be published as its own webpage with a separate URL.
Can I upload the templates as PDF documents?
No. They should be published as webpages so they can be reviewed during the registration process.
I already have a Privacy Policy. Do I need a new one?
Not necessarily. If your existing Privacy Policy includes the required SMS-related language, you may be able to update it rather than replace it.
Who updates my website?
If someone else manages your website, simply provide them with the Compliance Kit and ask them to publish the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions as separate webpages.
